SEE & DO

THINGS TO DO

Currituck Beach Lighthouse
The red-brick Currituck Beach Lighthouse towers above the northern Outer Banks landscape in the Historic Corolla village. Visitors can climb the winding staircase, 214 steps in all, to the top of the lighthouse for a panoramic view of Currituck Sound, the Atlantic Ocean and the Currituck Outer Banks.

North Carolina Aquarium

The North Carolina Aquarium remains one of the most popular attractions on the Outer Banks, and it got a fantastic renovation that was completed in the summer of 2016. Yes, it's perfect for a rainy day, but you will also appreciate the cool, quiet environment when you've had enough of the sun. Just stepping into the aquarium’s lobby is like diving into the ocean’s depths....

Leisure Activities

Kayaks, Kite Flying, Beach Walking

Fishing, Surfing, The Lost Colony

Hatteras Island Lighthouse, Wild Horse Tours

Duck Boardwalk, Duck Donuts

Horse Riding, Beachcombing

Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge

Wright Brothers Memorial
Orville and Wilbur Wright traveled to the Outer Banks for their flight experiments because of the wind, slopes without trees or shrubs and sandy soil for soft landings. On December 17, 1903, the Wright brothers were successful with four powered flights.
On top of the 90-foot dune known as Big Kill Devil Hill is a 63-foot granite monument. Climb the hill for a striking view of Kill Devil Hills, the ocean and the sound.

“Beautiful, 'beautiful, beautiful was all that we could say upon entering your home!! This was our first stay in the Outer Banks. The home was perfect for myself, husband, our 5 children (14, 13, 12, 11 & 5), and our parents.

Plenty of room for everyone. We spent most of our time playing games, putting together puzzles, beach walks for seashells, watching movies, and horse watching.

Don't change a thing.
